本文認為，在新冠肺炎疫情的蔓延和防治中，特別以美國、中國大陸和台灣為例，我們可以發現，孫中山思想提供了頗多因應之道的啟示，這場世紀瘟疫以奇特的方式印證了孫中山思想的時代意義。這些啟示包括：一、在民權主義方面，新冠肺炎疫情突顯了政府效能和民眾配合的重要性，「權能區分」和「萬能政府」的理論發明以及「全民政治」和「五權憲法」的制度安排，有其歷久彌新的時代意義。二、在民生主義方面，全球化和新自由主義所導致的分配惡化問題，以及在分配不均的情況下，中下階層或弱勢族群面對新冠肺炎疫情的特別困難，必須要嚴肅面對，孫中山主張的「思患預防」和「節制私人資本，發達國家資本」，應該做與時俱進的解讀。和三、在民族主義方面，孫中山傳承的中國傳統「王道」思想具有普世性的價值，可以作為國際合作防治新冠肺炎疫情的共同思維，也可以作為正在邁向富強的中國大陸化解國際之間疑慮、爭取國際之間合作的有力訴求。

This paper considers that, in the spread and prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially when taking the United States, China, and Taiwan as examples, it can be found that Sun Yat-sen Thought has provided considerable revelations regarding ways to cope. This plague of the century has in a peculiar way validated how Sun Yat-sen Thought’s significance for the times. These revelations include: 1. In terms of the Principle of Democracy, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of government performance and public cooperation. The creation of the “separation of rights and powers” and “all-powerful government” theories and the “politics for the whole people” and “Five Power Constitution” institutional arrangements have timeless significance for the times. 2. In terms of the Principle of People’s Livelihood, the aggravation of distribution caused by globalization and neoliberalism and the serious difficulties among the lower classes and disadvantaged groups in face of the COVID-19 pandemic must be taken seriously. The “foresight and precaution against future difficulties” and “regulating private capital; developing state capital” advocated by Dr. Sun Yat-sen must be interpreted in a way that progresses with the times. 3. In terms of the Principle of Nationalism, the Chinese traditional thought of “kingly way” inherited by Dr. Sun Yat-sen possesses universal value. It serves as a system of thought shared by international communities working together in COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control. It can also serve as a powerful appeal for China as it moves towards strong and prosperity, to resolve international doubts and seek international cooperation.
